What is Total Mobility?
Total Mobility is a government-backed scheme that provides subsidised taxi travel for New Zealanders who are unable to use public transport due to a permanent disability. The scheme is funded by regional councils in partnership with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
Eligible cardholders receive a 75% subsidy on taxi fares, up to a maximum of $80 per trip. Any remaining balance is paid by the passenger directly.
